I applied online and about a month later, the manager of the research team contacted me to schedule a phone interview. The interview went well and lasted about 30 minutes. They mentioned I'd hear back about the position within a few days. The following week, I received a general email from HR saying I didn't get the job. The very next day, the position was posted again on Airbnb's careers page. I reached out to the manager I spoke with for feedback, but never got a response. Since I took the time to talk with them, I feel I deserved an email back from the manager.
You'll have 1-2 chats with your potential teammates and then your direct manager, where we'll talk about your experience and how it relates to the job duties. After that, there's a 'cross-functional' interview with someone outside the team who knows the company well. This last chat is more about seeing how you'd fit into our company culture, not just the job itself, and it's also called the 'core values' interview. It's the final step before we can extend a job offer.
I had two phone interviews, and it was a good and fast experience. The first interviewer didn't seem to care much about my code. The second interviewer was nice and kind, but I couldn't find the solution.
