I had 5 interviews in total with 5 different people from the unit. The overall experience was fun, it was much more like an informal chat rather than a proper formal interview. Interviewers were very nice and made me feel comfortable.
I applied online for a position at Luxury Retreats, which is an Airbnb acquisition in Montreal. After applying, I got an email from the recruiter for a chat. The recruiter seemed nice and then asked me to do a SQL take home test. I completed the test and sent it back, but I didn't hear back from the recruiter for weeks. I sent two follow-up emails but still nothing. It would be better if they at least acknowledged the time and effort candidates put into interviewing for the company. They ghost you rather than send a sorry/reject email after an interview.
The whole interview process took over a month and had several parts. I had interviews with the hiring manager, a panel interview, a case study to do, and a core values interview. They gave me a verbal offer, but then called the next week to say they changed their minds and took the offer back. It was pretty disappointing and not very professional.
