First, there was a phone call where we discussed my background and the job's requirements. Then, we scheduled a follow-up meeting with the next person.
It was pretty straight forward. Started with behaviorals, then a take-home project, and then the final round. Everything was done remotely. They send you a PDF and have two people follow you through the process. The take-home project is basically asking you to do something they do on the job. The instructions are a little vague and they don't really give you feedback.
Applied online for a 3-month contract and got a response in a day. Had a phone screening, and the recruiter suggested I might be a fit for a different role, which I was open to. He asked for writing samples and said he'd follow up in 2-4 weeks. After 4 weeks, I got an email with a challenging assignment that took me 10 hours to complete. Less than 24 hours later, they emailed to say they weren't moving forward with my application. It was disappointing given the effort on the assignment. When I asked for feedback, he mentioned they chose someone with significantly more experience.
