It was several rounds. First was a phone screen, then an onsite with the hiring manager, then another onsite with 5-10 different people. They asked technical questions and non-technical cultural fit questions. They're very big on culture here, and are looking for unique people with unique backgrounds.
It started with a couple of phone chats with the recruiter and hiring manager. Then, I had my first onsite interviews with people who are my peers and also people above me in the org. The second time I went onsite, it was mostly about seeing if I'd fit with Airbnb's 'Core Values', and those interviewers were not in my department.
The interview process started with a phone interview with the Recruiter. Following that, there was a second interview via Skype call with the hiring manager. The first phone screen with the Recruiter involved about 5-7 standard situational questions. I had a positive experience with the Recruiter, they were very professional. In the second interview, the Interviewer asked three situational questions. I had logged on early but had to wait for them to boot up their computer before they could ask me his pre-screen questions.
