I applied online and after a couple of weeks, I got an email. Since the position was in another country, I had a Skype interview with the recruiting company. It lasted about 20 minutes, and the recruiter asked a couple of questions.
You'll start with an interview with your direct manager, then meet with employees from different teams. The final step is an interview with one of the founders. They're really friendly and focus on seeing if you align with Airbnb's culture. No tough questions, just a vibe check.
I went through 6 interviews and then was rejected because they said my profile wasn't a fit for what they were looking for. Like, seriously? After 6 interviews? Couldn't you tell from my CV? It was a poorly managed process, and they had people who weren't even in the same field evaluating my skills. It felt like a waste of time.
