I applied online and had an internal referral. After the initial phone screening, I had my first business interview with the hiring manager. During our chat, it seemed like the job description they posted didn't match the actual job, and the info from the screening might not have been totally accurate about the role. Still, I was interested, though I'm not sure if they saw me as a fit. They had already scheduled rounds 2 and 3 for later that week. But, without any explanation, the interviews were canceled. I reached out to ask if I was still being considered, but no one replied. I followed up again, and still no clear answer, so I asked to be withdrawn from the running.

The interview process was really smooth and moved quickly, so be prepared ahead of time. My recruiter was incredibly helpful and kept things efficient throughout. I went through 3 rounds, including a case study that was provided a few days before the final round. For the final round, I presented my findings to a panel of 3 interviewers — all of them were super nice, supportive, and genuinely interested in how I approached the problem rather than just looking for perfect answers. Overall a great experience.

My interview experience with SharkNinja was pretty disappointing and lasted about two months. I talked to HR and four team members. One meeting was missed by the interviewer, who then ghosted. But the interviews themselves were good. The hiring manager and three colleagues seemed really into it. One even said I'd be great for SharkNinja, and another chat went way over time. I got a verbal offer on Friday, Oct 31, with HR saying they'd get me about $10K more and a written offer by Monday. I was super excited. But Monday came, and it was just an email about pending approval. The next Monday, I got a similar message, blaming an HR reorg, which was weird since the role was product marketing. Then they said the role might not start until after the new year and approval was still up in the air, no timeline given. This was unexpected since they'd implied a quick start. After the new year, I followed up again. They quickly replied that there were "no new roles" and ignored the verbal offer and the whole interview process. When I asked for feedback, they ghosted me. It was a total letdown and a waste of time for everyone. Communication between HR and the hiring team seemed broken, and the lack of clarity on approvals, timing, and the verbal offer was a really bad look.

I had the first HR interview and then moved to the second stage, which was an in-person case study presentation with the manager. I prepared a great presentation, and the manager seemed very pleased, asking several questions. I even offered some ideas that they noted down. Since then, it's been radio silence, and I haven't received any feedback. I've followed up with everyone involved, but there's been no response, not even a rejection email. I'd suggest reviewing your recruitment policy.
