Mechanical Design Intern
The hiring process starts with an email screening, followed by an online form to check availability and ask a few questions about your past experiences. Then, there's a technical interview. The whole thing usually takes about 1-3 weeks, and you'll hear back about a week after the interview.
- Can you tell me more about your resume?
- What are your experiences based on your resume?
Senior Mechanical Engineer
Applied and was contacted quickly to start the interview process. Within a week, completed 2 phone/video interviews and a morning of in-person interviews. The company was very responsive and the process felt positive, like they valued my interest. However, they went silent for a month before finally rejecting me, which was a disappointing end after a seemingly great start.
- I don't remember specific questions as it's been a few months.
Mechanical Engineer
Had one 30 min call with the hiring manager to discuss background, resume, and past projects. Then a virtual on-site with several engineers from the team and other teams. Most of these were design questions, with a few technical and resume questions. The technical questions were pretty straightforward and easy.
- Can you describe how you would approach redesigning this feature?
- Could you elaborate on your past experiences relevant to this role?
- How would you design a system to collect data using this specific sensor?
