I applied for an audio programmer role but ended up interviewing for a junior game programmer position. The interview was about 15-20 minutes long and conducted on Google Meet. They started with introductions, then asked about my game project, specifically how I handled gravity, audio implementation, and my choice of using raylib over GUI. Following that, we delved into C++ topics like Copy and Move Constructors, Templates, memory allocation mechanisms, the distinction between malloc and new, and class/struct initialization post-malloc memory allocation.

Technical Behavioral Coding

A few years back, I interviewed for a full-stack developer position. The overall experience was good even though I didn't get the job. The role was to help the company's internal tools development team, especially with data visualization. I had several interviews, including one with the tech lead, which I liked because it gave me a chance to meet potential colleagues. Even though I wasn't selected, I had a feedback interview to understand why: my profile was more backend-focused, and they were looking for someone with stronger frontend skills.

Technical Behavioral Case Group

The interview process started with an assessment. After about two to three weeks, I was invited to a technical interview, which went really well. The interviewers, who were two people, focused on my knowledge and understanding of real-life situations, not just basic terms. They also presented me with scenarios to assess my analytical skills. A few days later, HR confirmed I had passed the technical round and scheduled an HR interview, which was also very pleasant. The HR representative was quite polite. Overall, the interviews were smooth, which was a relief compared to other companies where communication can be lacking.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Questions related to analyzing situations and real-life scenarios were asked.
  • Some questions focused on how you'd handle specific real-life situations.
  • There were also questions designed to gauge analytical skills through scenarios.
