Vice President
I had one interview with a recruiter over Zoom. The interview itself was fine - mostly questions about my background and experience and how that would make me a successful candidate for the role. However, the discussion on compensation was disappointing and I found the salary ranges they post for roles to be a bit disingenuous. It seemed to me they were not willing to offer anything more than the mid-point of the range and justified that by the fact they offer full-time WFH. Full-time WFH is a great benefit, yes, but you shouldn't waste people's time who apply for a job based on a certain salary range when you're unwilling to pay it.
- Regarding the role's responsibilities, do you possess specific technical experience?
Front End Engineer
I heard back about two weeks after applying and was asked to pick a specific interview slot. I was available, so I confirmed the time and asked some questions about the company and process. The next day, HR/Recruiting called to go over my questions, and it all sounded good. The interview was on Zoom with the hiring manager. I thought it went well, and I asked for info on the technical review beforehand to help me relax during live coding. After I asked, the interviewer got uncomfortable and suddenly lost the connection mid-sentence. He didn't come back, so I stayed on the call. I emailed to see if he'd reconnect or answer my remaining questions, CCing the two HR contacts. No response came back even after two more follow-ups over the next two weeks. The lack of any closing felt unprofessional, even though I think my request might have been taken the wrong way. I would have appreciated even a simple 'thanks but no' message.

Analyst
The interview process included an initial HR phone screening, followed by a 30-minute conversation with the hiring manager. Finally, there was a panel interview involving team members and someone from another department. I didn't reach the supposed final round with HR. It was a really great interview experience overall; the people were super nice and kept things pretty informal, not just sticking to a strict list of questions. They seemed keen to know about your business understanding and any coding experience you might have.

Customer Service Representative
I had a phone interview for a customer service role and it went really well. The person called exactly on time, which was a good start. Even though it wasn't in person, they were friendly and made me feel comfortable. The questions were straightforward and really got into the core of customer service, like dealing with tough customers, solving problems when things get hectic, and if I'd used different customer service software before. I felt like I did a good job explaining my strengths, especially how I stay calm in difficult situations and how committed I am to giving great service. The interviewer listened well and asked follow-up questions that let me give more details about my past experiences. I also liked that there was plenty of time for me to ask questions about what it's like to work there, what they expect from someone in this job, and how the customer service team operates. The answers were detailed and gave me a real sense of the company's values and how they support their employees. All in all, the phone interview made me feel confident that I could do this job. The professional yet warm conversation just made me want the job and to work for this company even more.
