We had a group interview with 3 people, including a practical task where we had to choose 3 outfits for 3 mannequins. After that, I had a brief one-on-one interview. We were given about 30 to 45 minutes to select the outfits and then explain our choices. The individual interview was very short, and they didn't ask much about me, which I felt hurt my chances because I had good experience I couldn't share, so they only had my CV. It felt more like a casual chat, which was nice. The people were really friendly and kind, and it was generally a fun interview! Maybe go prepared to talk about your own experience without being prompted.

I had a virtual assessment with video questions, followed by a virtual interview. It involved basic math problems. The interviewer was aggressive and rushed, and didn't seem interested in my background or experience. Don't be fooled by the 'trainee' label; you need a strong understanding of current events and the daily tasks of merchandising.

I applied online last Tuesday and got a call two days later for a store assessment. Then, on Saturday, I spent an hour in the store doing tasks like giving out customer orders, rearranging clothes, and putting together an outfit so the manager could see if I was a good fit. I got the job right after and a £10 gift card for my time. It was a pretty easy and enjoyable experience.
