Customer Assistant
it was a pretty chill interview and they made an effort to make me feel comfortable. in my situation, i and the other applicants were in a single room, waiting to be called for our one-on-one interviews.
- What is your availability?
- What days are you able to work?
Customer Assistant
The interview process was pretty simple. First, I had a phone chat with the recruiter, and then I went in person to meet the store manager. It was a decent interview experience overall. For prep, just brushing up on common customer service questions was enough.
- Can you tell me about a situation where you faced a challenging customer?
- Could you share an instance where you exceeded expectations to help a customer?
- Describe a time you managed a customer's complaint.
Customer Assistant
It was really quite informal. When I arrived, I was taken to the back room and waited a bit as I arrived early. I was then asked what I was doing and about my availability. I was asked to go onto the shop floor and talk to customers, asking them if they needed help, which staff mentioned is important as NEXT really values customer service. I did this for an hour and was shown how to check stock on the till. Afterwards, I was taken back to the room again and asked about my availability, and then I found out I was offered the job.
- What is your availability like?
