Senior Software Engineer
It was good. They asked me about myself and we had a brief discussion about .Net, Databases, Angular, SOLID, Design Patterns, and the architecture design of a web app interacting in a Microservices environment. We also talked about AWS & Azure cloud structure and its usage in my professional development and how I used it.
- Tell me about yourself and your experience with .Net, Databases, and Angular.
- Can you elaborate on your understanding and application of SOLID principles and Design Patterns?
- Describe the architecture design for a web application that communicates within a microservices environment.
Software Engineer
The whole thing took about three months. The steps were pretty standard: first an HR chat, then a coding challenge, after that a technical chat with the team, a take-home assignment, and finally an in-person interview. Scheduling was a bit all over the place, though. They'd often give us short notice, like only a day or two to prepare for the next step, and coordinating was a bit bumpy. For the last part, the in-office interview and another task after that were set up with barely any time to get ready. Honestly, it didn't feel super organized.
- Can you describe your technical stack?
- What is your current location?
- How have you found working in an agile setup?
Software Engineer
A recruiter from Hackajob reached out to me, and we scheduled a call. However, the recruiter missed the first two scheduled calls. After the first missed call, they emailed saying they had meetings overrun and asked for my CV to arrange a callback. I sent my CV and confirmed my availability, but then experienced ghosting. They scheduled another call, which they also missed. I followed up via email multiple times over a couple of weeks, each time offering my availability, but received no response. Eventually, they asked if I was available for a call on the same day I last emailed, and I confirmed. Still no call. I sent another email at the end of the week stating my availability for the following week, and again received no response. I've sent a final follow-up email today, but I don't expect to hear back. This whole experience has made me hesitant to work for this company.
