I applied online last Tuesday and got a call two days later for a store assessment. Then, on Saturday, I spent an hour in the store doing tasks like giving out customer orders, rearranging clothes, and putting together an outfit so the manager could see if I was a good fit. I got the job right after and a £10 gift card for my time. It was a pretty easy and enjoyable experience.
- During the phone call, they asked about my previous experience and went over the job I applied for in more detail.

Had a brief, informal phone interview that lasted about 14 minutes. They asked 3 questions and discussed my previous job mentioned on my CV. After the call, I was invited to an in-store assessment, which seemed to be with another team member, not a manager. They have a selection of activities they can choose from, and I did parcel collection, outfit building, and a role-play. It wasn't too stressful, but the 4/3 stage process feels a bit long for an entry-level position. I was told I'd be contacted later, but I'm not sure how long to wait and don't expect it to happen.
- Could you tell me about your hobbies and how you spend your free time?
- What subjects did you study in school?
- Can you share some of your experience in a customer-facing role?

I showed up on time for my scheduled retail store assessment, but I ended up waiting for over an hour without anyone telling me anything. When the manager eventually talked to me, she didn't really interview me. She just kept apologizing and saying how mad she was. She never even looked at my papers or gave me a proper chance to be evaluated.
- How do you handle working under pressure?
