The interview process was smooth, though there's a risk of being ghosted. My interview was in mid-February. I was asked situational questions to help the hiring manager, manager, and HR rep understand me better. I was told I'd hear back after their process concluded, but after four weeks and the job posting being removed, it seems I was ghosted despite multiple attempts to contact the recruiter. This is unprofessional, especially given the current job market and people's need for stable income. As a recruiter, please remember the desperation many feel, and ghosting is unprofessional. Because of this experience, I won't pursue future job opportunities with MBV.
- Can you introduce yourself? What interests you about Mercedes?
Graduate Engineer Trainee
You apply via email, portal, or recruiter. HR checks your CV for skills, education, and experience match. Then there's an HR / Recruiter Call (Telephonic Screening) for a basic fit check. They ask about your introduction, experience & skills, job role understanding, salary expectations, location & shift readiness, and notice period. An Aptitude / Assessment Test might be part of it, possibly including English communication, logical reasoning, basic aptitude, and role-based tests (procurement/process/SAP etc.). Finally, a Technical / Process Interview is conducted by a Team Lead / Manager. Questions cover job knowledge, process understanding, and practical scenarios.
- Can you elaborate on your project from last year?
- Could you answer a few fundamental questions?
Devops Engineer
The interview process was quite long; honestly, they could make it less burdensome. It started with a preliminary chat with a recruiter, then a technical interview with two team members, followed by a coding test. After that, there were two more interviews. This was all for a job based in a location where rent would take up 50% of your income and it was full of tourist apartments, so your peace was gone. The salary offered was decent, but naturally, you'd spend the extra money on the cost of living there, so you couldn't really enjoy that extra cash.
- How would you ensure an application's credentials remain secure?
Receptionist
The interview process at Mercedes-Benz was really professional and well-organized. It started with sending in my application online. Then, there was a virtual interview where we talked about my background, my technical skills, and if I fit with the company’s focus on innovation and being excellent. After that, I had a panel interview. In that one, I talked about solving problems in real situations and my experiences working with teams. The interviewers were easy to talk to and gave me good ideas about the company culture. Overall, the whole thing was smooth and clear, and I was really impressed with how Mercedes-Benz cares about quality and helping employees grow.
- Could you introduce yourself and explain your interest in joining Mercedes-Benz?
