The interview was pretty structured and professional. They really wanted to see if I had the technical skills and could solve problems. We started by talking about my background and experience. Then, they hit me with some deep technical questions about basic concepts, practical situations, and how to solve problems in real-time. They also checked if I understood design principles, coding standards, and how to use that knowledge in real-world scenarios.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process had multiple rounds and seemed well-organized and professional. Interviewers were prepared, thoughtful, and the role details were clear. Communication was usually timely and expectations were well-set. However, it got frustrating at the very end. The recruiter verbally told me I got the job and an offer was coming, but then they changed their mind because an internal candidate showed up late in the process. I understand internal mobility, but it was disappointing, especially after hearing an offer was coming. The interview part was good, but they could have handled the final decision better. It would be better to be upfront about internal candidates earlier to avoid confusing or disappointing external candidates.

Behavioral Technical

So this was the worst interview experience I've had. It started with a recruiter call, which was the only good part, it was a nice chat. Then I had an interview with two senior colleagues, and they were so cold, like annoyed from the start. They didn't focus on my relevant background and experience for the role. Instead of asking questions to understand my experience, they immediately pointed out that my experience was in a slightly different area. The whole vibe felt like they were trying to make me uncomfortable instead of getting to know my skills. I followed up after the interview to say I was still interested, but no one bothered to reply. I got ghosted by HR and the team.

So, there were like 8-10 of us from different colleges. They first check how well you talk in the Group Discussion (which was the first round) and how confident you are. The second and last round for us was with a person who asked everything based on our resume. You gotta know what the job is about and what tools are used. If you're not from this field, be ready to explain why you want this role. Be smart when you answer.

  • Could you introduce yourself?
  • Given your background is different, what makes you want to pursue this role?
  • What is your understanding of this position?
