So, there were like 8-10 of us from different colleges. They first check how well you talk in the Group Discussion (which was the first round) and how confident you are. The second and last round for us was with a person who asked everything based on our resume. You gotta know what the job is about and what tools are used. If you're not from this field, be ready to explain why you want this role. Be smart when you answer.

The interview process started with a phone call, but then there was a wait for the job offer documents for three weeks, which delayed my on-boarding date. The HR assistant didn't have the full information and gave me incorrect instructions for submitting my pre-employment documents.

So I had this initial short check-call with an Indian interviewer. They asked some basic questions and I talked about my background. Then, surprisingly, I got a rejection, and I wasn't sure why. But then I connected with the hiring manager on LinkedIn since they already had my resume. I asked if they could share the reason for the rejection to help me out for the future. He responded that I was actually supposed to be interviewed and asked the team to put me through to the technical round. So, I had another HR video call, followed by a technical interview that was pretty long, about two hours. They hit me with tons of questions on protocols, processes, and even a couple of riddles. It seemed to go well. After that, I waited for nearly three months, and then finally got the approval. I had assumed it was a rejection because of the long wait, but it turned out the manager was on vacation, which caused the delay.

  • Questions were asked about DNS.
  • Questions were asked about DHCP.
  • Explain protocol theory.
