Software Engineer
The interview was pretty structured and professional. They really wanted to see if I had the technical skills and could solve problems. We started by talking about my background and experience. Then, they hit me with some deep technical questions about basic concepts, practical situations, and how to solve problems in real-time. They also checked if I understood design principles, coding standards, and how to use that knowledge in real-world scenarios.
- Can you write some SQL queries?
- Could you write some C# programs?
Software Engineer
I got a call from HR saying I was shortlisted and they asked for my availability for an interview today. So, the interview got scheduled and when the interviewer joined, they started with 'Tell me about yourself.' I began but then they suddenly asked, 'How many years of experience do you have?' I answered and then they asked if I could write some Java code. I said yes and they wanted me to share my screen. But before I could, they started asking questions. I asked if they could hear me and they said yes. I asked again to share my screen before they asked questions and they agreed reluctantly. Then they gave me a scenario about an employee with ID, name, and date of birth and asked me to 'write the query.' I was confused and asked 'Query?' and pointed out they initially asked for Java code and it seemed like a mix-up. After a pause, they changed it to writing a Spring Boot DB class with create and update methods. A bit later, they asked me to create a program that could be called from a UI and would talk to the database. I asked for clarification if they wanted a full Spring Boot project with APIs for creating and updating employee details, and they confirmed that's what they wanted. It was a tough experience because the interviewer seemed unsure about their questions and how to ask them.
- Could you please introduce yourself?
- Please state your years of experience.
- Can you demonstrate your Java coding skills?
Software Developer
The whole interview process has four rounds. First, there's an aptitude round with about 25 questions, taking 60 minutes, and the questions are medium-hard. Second, a coding round with 4 questions and 70 minutes duration, including two string-based, one array, and one dynamic programming question. Third, a technical interview lasting around 40-45 minutes. Lastly, a technical and managerial round for about 35-40 minutes.
- Can you explain your project in detail, especially the DBMS parts?
- Tell me about a question based on the subarray problem.
- What is one DSA question you were asked, specifically the height of a binary tree?
