Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kyndryl.
Associate Director
I had a call with HR, and then a panel interview. Scheduling the panel interview took a few weeks with no updates from HR, and then suddenly HR wanted to schedule it quickly. One of the partners was late to the panel and then left mid-interview, and both seemed distracted the whole time. It wasn't a great experience overall, but at least it was professional.
- Can you provide an example of a project and describe your role in it?
Associate
It was good, not too difficult. It's important to know the basics before the interview. There are 3 rounds, which also depends on the project. The average interview time is 45 minutes. Know your technology well. Many process-oriented questions will be asked.
- How important is your family to you?
Senior Associate
First up was a quick chat with the recruiter, like 5-10 mins, just basic stuff like where I saw the job opening and my availability to start. Nothing too deep skill-wise. Then I talked to my current manager, mostly about my past jobs and some 'tell me about a time' type questions. The next interview was pretty much the same, chatting with another team member about my experience.
- Are you comfortable using Microsoft Excel?
