First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kellanova.
Human Resources Manager
The interview process for the Associate Manager – HR role at Kellanova was intensive, but in a very positive way. It consisted of five rounds, and I felt each one went well. Unfortunately, I did not clear the final round and was not provided with feedback on the decision. Nevertheless, it was a valuable experience and a great learning opportunity.
- What steps would you take to manage a candidate who received a counteroffer before their joining date, and we cannot exceed the approved budget?
Director
An external recruiter reached out to me for an initial screening, followed by 4 interviews with the MD and HR. The interviews were largely conversational and pleasant, featuring scenario-based questions. The entire process was quite fast and efficient, with a personal touch from everyone involved. They were very people-focused and treated candidates with respect.
- Describe your approach to navigating organizational hierarchies and outline your strategies for driving growth.
Legal Administrator
I interviewed with Kellanova for a Legal Administrator role. It was an in-person interview where we talked about my technical skills and also my soft skills. They asked about my legal background, how I approach problems, and how I would handle legal situations in a company. We also talked a lot about fitting in with the company culture and values. The interview was professional yet friendly, and it gave me a good idea of the team and what's expected at Kellanova.
- What would you do if you found an issue with a legal invoice?
Lead IT Engineer
After I applied, a recruiter emailed me and asked me to fill out a 7-question pre-screening questionnaire. They said they'd reach out for a 15-20 minute interview after reviewing my answers. I spent about two hours on it, but never heard back. Three weeks later, I got an automated email saying the position was filled. I emailed the recruiter, who apologized for being disorganized and said they had hundreds of applicants. I think it's unacceptable to give candidates homework for senior roles and then ghost them. It makes the company look disorganized and unable to recognize talent.
- Hello! Thank you for your interest in our new opportunity as our Lead IT Engineer! As the first step of our selection process we would like to get to know a little more about you. Can you tell me why are you looking for a new opportunity at this time?
- What specifically makes you interested in Kellogg’s and this position?
- What have you been told are your greatest strengths?
