Senior Manager
This role reported into European and Global (US) functions and seemed to take much too long. There was a basic screening HR telephone interview, then an invitation to a F2F interview in Manchester with 2 company directors. Pretty standard stuff, competency based but also wanted to dig into your personality. The final stage was a rubber stamp interview with a global VP. A formal job offer followed. All in, it took about 3 months.
- Could you tell me about something you are most proud of?
Manager
Recruited by the Hiring Manager, which made the interview process a bit unique. Also, the company outsourced part of it. However, the process was mostly standard: phone interview, then a hiring manager chat, and finally a face-to-face. For the face-to-face part, here's what to expect: 1. Do exactly what they ask. You'll need to prepare a presentation about yourself to showcase who you are and your background. You'll present this to 4-8 people who will all have a say in your hiring. 2. Don't prepare generic answers like a staffing agency might teach you. Vague, non-committal responses won't work. Be genuine and straightforward. Remember, it's a two-way street – you might not want to join them if they don't like the real you. 3. Avoid name-dropping! Even though this company heavily relies on who you know, they don't appreciate people dropping names. If you know someone there, mention it briefly, but don't leverage it. Remember, for every person who likes someone, there's usually someone who doesn't. Why risk it? 4. You are constantly being evaluated! Expect 1-2 breaks during the face-to-face interview, which can last up to 4 hours. During these breaks, you'll be escorted to the restroom, cafeteria, or elsewhere – your conversations during these times will be discussed later. Be yourself, but stay sharp!

Market Manager
The initial phone interview is pretty straightforward. They'll ask for details about your resume and want you to explain everything listed. You'll also get some general HR behavioral questions asking for examples of when you dealt with workplace challenges, leadership, conflict, management, etc. They're open to questions and will honestly answer anything you ask. So, prepare, but don't stress too much about it.
- Can you describe a challenging situation you've faced at work?
- Tell me about a time you faced a difficult situation in the workplace.
- Provide an example of a time you encountered challenges in the workplace.
