First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Colliers.
Intern
It was a pretty straightforward interview process. First, I had a phone interview with a recruiter from their headquarters. It was a very basic behavioral interview focusing on why I'd be a good fit and my interest in the role. The second round was a Zoom interview with two people simultaneously, but it was quite relaxed. This interview also focused on behavioral questions, specifically about my skills and experiences from school. I was a freshman at the time and didn't get the offer for this specific position, but I believe with more interview experience, this would have been an easy process to navigate. I actually ended up securing a different summer internship with the company, just not in the brokerage research role I initially applied for. It's a great company with enjoyable outings and friendly people!

Project Manager
I sent in my application online and then I had to do this pre-recorded video interview for Colliers in Edmonton, AB, back in September 2025. There were 4 questions that I had about 1 to 1:30 minutes to explain and record my answers for each. Then there were 2 more questions about my salary expectations and when I'm available to start.

Brokerage Intern
My interview for the Brokerage Intern position was a really positive experience. The interviewer was welcoming and asked thoughtful, well-structured questions that allowed me to highlight both my interest in commercial real estate and the skills I’ve developed through my coursework and past internships. We discussed the day-to-day responsibilities of the role, and I appreciated how transparent they were about the fast-paced, team-oriented nature of the environment. I felt comfortable discussing my background in market research, client communication, and working with CRM tools. They seemed genuinely interested in how I approach learning and take initiative, which made the conversation feel more like a dialogue than a standard Q&A. I left the interview even more enthusiastic about the opportunity. The team seems collaborative and driven, and I believe I could really grow there and contribute meaningfully.
- Can you tell me about your college education?
