Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Colliers.
Associate
The interview starts off pretty chill, like a high-level chat, but it ramps up in difficulty. Make sure you have some good questions ready to ask them, and really think about why you want to be a broker. You should also know some stuff about the company and be ready to just talk generally about the market you're interested in.
- What makes you want to join Colliers?
- Why Colliers?
- Can you tell me why you want to be a broker?
Senior Associate
HR reached out to me for a short call, then I had to record video responses to questions like 'tell me about yourself,' 'why Infrastructure advisory,' and 'why Colliers.' After that, I had an interview with a panel of three people to discuss my experience.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Could you describe a past project you were involved in?
- What was your specific contribution to that project?
Associate
It was a formal interview but the questions weren't too tough. Just be ready for basic behavioral questions and make sure to show you're really excited and driven in all your responses. The hiring manager wants people who are eager, inquisitive, and full of energy.
- How would you manage client objections?
