The interview included object-oriented programming questions. They asked me to explain all the topics of OOP: encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, and abstraction. There was also a coding question about reversing a string, like turning 'hello' into 'olleh'. Most of the questions were behavioral, asking about myself, projects I've done, and my skills.

It was pretty straight forward. It involved raw html, css, and javascript. The only javascript array method I had to use was filter, though map would have also worked. I had to link css and javascript files, and fill the DOM with some content. Some basic css styling was also required.

  • Can you share an instance of working with a team?
  • Tell me about a time when your team made a decision you disagreed with, but you proceeded with it anyway.

First, I had to submit a teaching video to apply. After that, I got an interview. The interviewer stopped responding when I declined to answer a personal question. I then had to rephrase my responses. I advanced to the preservice stage, which involved a training course and more teaching videos. I didn't get selected for student teaching, even though I got positive feedback during the training. I think my refusal to tolerate misogyny might be why my application was rejected.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Can you tell me about your family?
