First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Manager
I sent in my resume online and then the hiring manager and I emailed back and forth to make sure my skills were a good fit for the job. The first interview was in person with two people from the team I would've been on. The second interview was also in person with one of the team members and a really high-level supervisor who was the one who created the program I would have been managing. They called me on the phone to tell me if I got the job.
- Tell me about your comfort level with ambiguity in English, particularly for a music translation role.
- Do you enjoy reading, and could you share some of the books you've read lately?
Manager
I was referred to this role by my ecclesiastical leader. I first met with the current manager and gave them my resume. After that, I had a phone interview with the current manager, then with the manager of field operations. Over the next 5 months, I interviewed with several other individuals before receiving an offer.
- Describe a situation where you had a disagreement with your supervisor.
- Can you share an experience where you faced a challenging task?
Assistant Manager
I applied on their website and they got in touch pretty fast, calling me the day after I applied for an interview. They made sure I knew they were interested in my profile by sending texts, emails, and making calls.
- Can you tell me about your background?
- What are you expecting in this role?
