Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Web Developer
It was pretty straight forward. It involved raw html, css, and javascript. The only javascript array method I had to use was filter, though map would have also worked. I had to link css and javascript files, and fill the DOM with some content. Some basic css styling was also required.
- Can you write code to return every number in an array that is divisible by 7 and then display it in the DOM?
- Can you share an instance of working with a team?
- Tell me about a time when your team made a decision you disagreed with, but you proceeded with it anyway.
Web Developer
It was a smooth and informative interview that went by quickly. It consisted of a quick behavior interview followed by a technical interview where I had to write a couple of functions in my favorite language.
- Describe a time you faced a difficult task and how you overcame it.
Web Developer Intern
I interviewed for a web developer intern position and spoke with three managers. They were quite friendly and approachable. We talked about my experience and the projects I've done. I also did a whiteboarding exercise for a simple problem. They extended an internship offer shortly after.
- Tell me about the Fibonacci sequence and how you would implement a function to solve it.
- Can you discuss your background and any projects you have worked on?
- Describe some of the projects you have completed.
