So at Syngenta, you usually start with applying online, and then a recruiter might call you. Sometimes they have you do online tests, like aptitude or technical ones, depending on what job you're going for. After that, there are a couple of technical interviews, and then you have a final chat with HR about your experience, what you're good at, and if you'd fit in with the team, and then they'll give you an offer.

Behavioral Other

The interview process was really unorganized. They changed the number of interviews last minute and I wasn't even told who would be interviewing me after a bunch of changes. The interviewers also seemed unprepared and asked some really weird questions. They encourage you to take public transport but don't give you a code to get through the gates. My HR contact also didn't answer my calls on the day to get the code. It was a very unprofessional experience overall.

Behavioral Case Presentation

The interview process involved an initial self-introduction in English. Following that, there were several questions focusing on my educational background, my experience in agriculture, and a case study related to sales and customer handling. They also inquired about my flexibility to take on different roles within the company.

Technical Technical

I interviewed with Syngenta (Italy) for a role, and the whole process took around three months, which was quite different from other Syngenta teams. First, I did a technical test (Cederpad), then a psychometric test, followed by a feedback interview, and finally a technical interview. After the technical interview, they said I'd hear back in two weeks. But, a month later, still no word, and they went silent. I tried to reach out to HR, but my email was ignored. I also emailed the Data Science Lead, who had answered my questions before the psychometric test, but he also stopped replying after the technical interview. Honestly, their hiring process could be better, maybe by simplifying it. Like, just picking one of a technical test, a technical interview, or a use case, instead of making us do all three. It's frustrating to go through a long process and then get no feedback, it just wastes our time.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Questions were mostly theoretical, focusing on Time Series models like ARIMA and SARIMA.
