I went through four interviews with 7 people, 3 of which were panel interviews. This doesn't include the recruiter screening. It took me more than 3 weeks to interview and schedule with people because of their availability. After all that, they ghosted me. I reached out, but got no response. Six weeks later, I received a system-generated rejection email. Syngenta's approach to treating prospective employees and attracting top talent is really classy. I would never work there. It was the rudest place I've EVER interviewed.

Behavioral Technical Case Other

I applied for Syngenta online from Karachi, and the role was for their company website which pointed to my location. The first step was an interview call, which was quite general, focusing on typical HR questions. After that, there was a long wait of about 2-3 months. Just when I was about to give up, I received an email for a 2-day virtual assessment center via Zoom. Day one involved short case studies, and day two consisted of aptitude tests and a creativity task (like crafting a paper horse carriage). About 2-3 weeks later, I got another email for an interview with line managers. During this interview, I found out I was being considered for their Hub office, which surprised me because the MTO program was supposed to be rotational across departments, and the location was unexpected. I discussed this with the HR person, and she arranged an interview with Head Office contacts. Their questions were generally related to my field, Supply Chain Management (SCM). After that, I was told I'd be contacted. Two weeks later, when I emailed HR, they stated they were still conducting interviews. After another two weeks, my follow-up email went unanswered. I've accepted I won't be getting the job, but it's disappointing and unfair that a multinational company would exhibit such incompetence after putting candidates through rigorous processes and raising their hopes, only to ghost them on status updates.

Case Presentation Group

So after the CV screening, you will get a chance to do a focus group discussion offline. It took about a whole day from 9-6. First, they will introduce the company profile, etc., and then, in the next step, we will be given a study case and need to present it individually. After that study, case number two was done as a group, and we were told to show it to everyone, including HR and another recruiter from Syngenta. The process was challenging because there was so little time but many things to do. But they take care of us, giving us a lot of food and making us comfortable throughout the day. I can say that this company treated their staff equally and nicely because wow, the recruitment process is very, very good
