First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Syngenta.
Software Engineer
The interview felt pretty straightforward, focusing more on general concepts and knowledge than on data structures, algorithms, or system design. I felt I handled most of the questions well. Ultimately, the panel decided against moving forward, stating a lack of knowledge in an area that wasn't even brought up during the discussion.
- Could you discuss various rate limiting algorithms and elaborate on one of them?
Software Developer Intern
The interview questions were straightforward and directly related to my resume. There was only one round, which included both technical and HR aspects. The questions primarily focused on my resume and the basic projects I completed during my engineering studies.
- Questions about OOPS concepts, arrays, Salesforce, cloud computing, and CRM.
- Can you explain OOPS concepts?
- Tell me about your experience with arrays.
Software Engineer AIML
I applied through the company portal. An HR person called me up for an online interview with a senior. During that interview, they asked me about the projects I did in college. They also asked basic ML questions like what's linear regression, SVM, and so on, plus some Python stuff. I had to write code for factorial and then explain my code. The next round was in person with the head of engineering. They had me write code on a whiteboard, explain it, and then make it more complex. Overall, it felt like a medium to high difficulty interview.
- What is SVM? What are its use cases? What is logical regression? Explain with an example.
- What is svm? What are its use cases What is logical regression ? Explain with an example.
