The Technical and Manager rounds went fine, but then the HR round happened, which was supposed to be formal, and after that, there was complete silence. No response at all. They should at least respect the candidate's time and send a simple email explaining the reason.

Behavioral Technical Case

So I had 3 rounds of interviews for this Business Analyst role. The first two were technical and the last one was HR. The first round was really focused on my past experience and some behavioral questions. If you know your stuff and have good experience, it's not too bad, but they really dig deep into everything you've done and try to catch you out, so you have to be detailed. It's pretty intense, and they expect you to answer everything in detail, using the STAR method. The second round was a chat with the head of the digital team. It was more of a conversation to understand my approach and what I'm looking for. The last 15 minutes of that round were dedicated to specific BA questions, kind of based on BABOK. Then the 3rd round was with HR, mostly to see if I was a good fit for the company culture and how passionate I am about the job. They really looked at my communication skills and how well I could explain my working style and why I'm the right person for the role. Overall, Syngenta's interview process was a great learning experience, talking with experts and getting a sense of where I stand. I got the compensation I wanted after some negotiation.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • The first round will be entirely based on your resume and behavioral questions.
  • The second round will be a conversational interview with questions related to BABOK.
  • The third HR round is designed to assess your passion and drive for the position you're applying for.

Applied online, then a recruiter called me back pretty fast. The hiring manager called me the following week. After that, I had an onsite with a group of people the week after. Even though I didn't get the offer, the team was very professional. It was a big company and a good interview experience overall!
