First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Spectrum.
SAP Basis Administrator
Multiple third-party recruiters (over 5) have contacted me about this Spectrum position. I've had several interviews with them to check my interest and skills before forwarding me to the hiring manager. It's usually a contract-to-hire role for a few months. After discussing what they need and confirming I meet most requirements, they send it off. Usually, there's silence and no response, or if I ask the recruiters what's up, they just say there was no feedback on my resume and initial interview.
- Have you used SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) before?
Technical Support Representative
It's pretty straightforward if you know the basics of how internet equipment and cable boxes function. You'll get some situational customer interaction questions, and then they'll ask you what a modem, a router, and a cable box are.
- Can you explain the working principles of a modem and a router?
- What exactly is a modem?
- Could you define what a router is?
Digital Producer
It was such a waste of time. I went through four rounds of interviews, and they made me feel like I was perfect for the job. I had to adjust my schedule for them, and then one person didn't even show up for the virtual interview. I also had to do a writing test that was way too hard and I couldn't finish it. I followed up with emails a few times over a month, and the recruiter said to wait until the end of the week for an update and apologized for the delay. Then, about eight weeks after my first call, I got an automated rejection email late on a Wednesday night. I feel really disrespected and annoyed that they led me on so much that I thought I was going to get the offer. It was insulting.
- What makes you want to work in digital?
Network Engineer
It was a casual call with the recruiter where we chatted about my background, skills, work history and networking in general. They were pretty open about what the day-to-day would look like and compensation. It was a single phone interview with the recruiter and they were quick to get back to me after I first reached out.
- Can you tell me about your general experience with design work?
- What's your experience with basic routing and switching, specifically OSPF, ISIS, and BGP?
