First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Spectrum.
Project Manager
It was a three step process. First, a call with the recruiter where they asked standard questions about my background and how I would fit into the role. Second, I was selected for a case study where I had to create a PowerPoint Presentation to showcase my ability to organize and present data. Third, a group interview via Webex with standard interview questions.
- Could you elaborate on your career shift from Tech to Rail, and what motivated your interest in the Telecommunications industry?
- Can you explain your transition from Tech to Rail and your reasons for wanting to move into Telecommunications?
Project Management Intern
It was pretty simple. First, I had to record myself answering some questions on their website. Then, if they liked my answers, someone reached out for a phone interview. They seemed to move quickly and didn't waste any time.
- What makes you want to join Spectrum?
Project Manager
Had a 30 minute phone call with Marco, a program manager. Then a week later, had a 30 minute phone screen with Jim Keller, the Director of Project Management. The questions were pretty basic, focused on project management processes, especially PMI stuff.
- What is your process when you are assigned a new project, and what is the very first step you take?
- How would you manage a situation where a project is becoming red, but a business sponsor requests that you do not report it as red?
