First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Robert Bosch India.
Technical Management Trainee
It was a pretty simple interview process, with just one technical round and then an HR round. Because this was for campus placements, the questions weren't too hard. The HR round was basically to see if I was a good fit personality-wise and attitude-wise, and they also threw in some sales questions to see how quickly I could think on my feet.
- What prompted you to select Bosch?
Software Engineer
The selection process has four rounds to check your technical skills and if you fit the role. Round 1 is a Written Test to see how you solve problems, code, and think logically. It covers analytical reasoning, logical thinking, and programming questions. This might be online or in-person. Round 2 is Technical Interview – Part 1, where we check your core technical skills like data structures, algorithms, OOP, and how you solve problems. We'll also ask about your past projects and tech choices. You should explain your thinking and maybe code on a whiteboard. Round 3 is Technical Interview – Part 2, continuing the technical check with harder stuff. This could involve system design, deep dives into specific skills, or behavioral questions about teamwork and decisions. Live coding might happen too. A senior person or lead usually does this round. Round 4 is the HR Interview, focusing on if you fit the company culture, your communication, and future potential. We'll talk about your career goals, work environment, salary, and company values. It's also your chance to ask us questions.
- Could you walk me through the projects listed on your CV?
Intern
Started with a technical intro, asking about past projects and internships if they were related to the core engineering field. There were follow-up questions on those topics too. They also asked about my subjects of interest and my current/past coursework. The focus was heavily on subjects like Power Electronics, Control Systems, Electric Circuits, and a bit of Analog and Digital Electronics. The whole thing took about 25-30 minutes.
- Can you describe your past projects and internships, particularly those relevant to core engineering?
- What are your areas of academic interest?
- Could you tell me about the coursework you've completed?
FLM
The interview process was pretty smooth. It started with a self-introduction, then they asked me questions about my projects and internship. After that, they asked about my knowledge of the core subjects. They also asked if I was comfortable working in shifts and managing people.
- Tell me about yourself.
- Can you tell me about your projects?
- Can you tell me about your internship?
