Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Robert Bosch India.
Technical Architect
The hiring process was organized and directly relevant to the job. The interviewer was good and the questions were on point. They communicated clearly throughout, making it a seamless and professional experience. Overall, it was a good and interesting interaction.
- Questions about site performance were posed.
Software Architect
There was 1 Technical round, 1 Grm round and HR discussion. They have worst HR process. If this is the case before joining, guess how bad it can be after joining. The response of external HR after completing the interview rounds is rubbish. Seems like they just want to complete Target of candidates interviewed.
- Regarding the project needs and the project mentioned in your resume.
Technical Architect
The hiring process was absolutely pathetic. They conducted 4 rounds over 2 months. The first two rounds were fine, and I was told I'd come for the final round to the Bosch office once it reopened. However, a few days later, the recruiter called and stated there would be a US round before the f2f round. The interviewer for this round seemed like one of those arrogant types who think they're doing you a favor. He initially stood me up for an hour, and I had to ask the recruiter to reschedule. During the rescheduled call, he was 20 minutes late and didn't even apologize. He claimed that as an Architect managing big teams, I wouldn't be writing code, to which I disagreed. He then suggested I couldn't survive their startup environment due to my experience in 'protective environments' at big companies, and I questioned if Bosch was a startup. After about 10 days with no update, I contacted the recruiter, who said he was still awaiting feedback. A week later, he informed me about another managerial round before the f2f. At this point, I was fed up. The process lacked clarity, and I told the recruiter that they should communicate the number of rounds upfront instead of scheduling them haphazardly. I decided not to join, even if offered, as they could easily withdraw the offer close to the joining date.

- Can you tell me about your current project?
