Project Manager
The whole process had 4 rounds. The first two were with a manager, the third with the department head, and the last one was with HR. Most interviews were pretty long, lasting almost 2 hours, except for the HR one which was about an hour. It took a total of a month from the initial HR call until I received the offer.
- Tell me about your project management practices.
- Describe your overall responsibilities.
- Could you give a detailed explanation of each phase of project management?
Engineering Project Manager
The interview process began with an online test administered by HirePro. It covered topics like 8051, 8085, 555 timers, DAC/ADC, control systems (damping frequency, block reduction), and digital logic, including a specific question about transformer circuits to find output voltage. Most questions were similar to previous GATE exam papers. There was also a verbal section with a synonym question for 'deride' and a medium-difficulty logical section. Out of approximately 350 applicants, only 100 were shortlisted (50 CS, 10 Mech, 40 EC/EE/TE). Following this technical screen, there was a recruiter call.
- Can you discuss a project in detail and answer follow-up questions?
- How would you swap two numbers without using a third variable?
- What differentiates C from Embedded C?
Senior Project Manager
I got into the company as a software engineer, way back when I was a fresher. It was referral-based back then.
