So, the interview process spanned two days. The first day kicked off with a pre-placement talk, followed by an online test. This test had 60 questions to be completed in 90 minutes, and honestly, it felt pretty easy, covering both aptitude and technical topics. The technical part touched on logic design, op-amps, diodes, digital communications, and microprocessors. Candidates were then shortlisted based on how they did. The actual interview happened on the second day and consisted of two parts: a technical round and an HR round. The technical interview focused on diodes, microcontrollers, C, and operating systems because it was a coding role. Unfortunately, I didn't make it past the technical interview.

college campus recruitment, went through an online test first with 35 aptitude questions and 30 technical ones, mostly covering microcontrollers, basic linear integrated circuits, and analog electronics. Those who passed were then invited for a technical round where I was asked simple C/C++ questions like swapping two characters without a temp variable and using pass by reference. They also asked me to draw a bridge rectifier circuit and provide its specifications (ripple content, efficiency, power consumption), plus other basic AEC and microcontroller questions. They also inquired about my projects. The final step was a one-on-one HR round with usual questions.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you explain why a bridge rectifier is superior to a full wave or half-wave rectifier?
  • What distinguishes an 8051 microcontroller from an atmega 16?

There were 3 rounds in total. It started with an online test, followed by a technical interview and then an HR round. The technical questions covered topics like op-amps, microcontrollers, control systems, C programming, and basic mechanical engineering. Honestly, the technical rounds can be a bit of a gamble; it really depends on whether you get an interviewer who asks straightforward, easy practical questions or someone who throws really tough ones at you.

Confirmed questions5 questions
  • Do you ride a bike?
  • Can you tell me what the bhp of your bike is?
  • What does bhp stand for?
