First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Reckitt.
Commercial Accounting Analyst
The interview process started with an HR call that lasted 45 minutes (HR was really helpful all the way through). The next round was an hour long with the Managers. They jumped straight into questions without introducing the role, so be ready to answer questions immediately. The first 45 minutes felt more like an exam with academic-style questions rather than practical or behavioral ones. But, the second manager I spoke with, who was from Poland, was very friendly and asked questions that allowed me to share my background and explain how I'd managed situations.
- Can you provide an example where a computer bought for the company wouldn't be recorded as a fixed asset, and explain the process for registering a fixed asset upon purchase?
- I buy a computer for company when should I not register it as fixed asset? How do you register the fixed asset in the moment of purchasing the fixed asset?
Finance Intern
The interview process had 2 main parts: one with HR and one with the hiring manager. The process was generally quite smooth, with questions that were easy to answer. I was told that in the final stage, there were 7 other candidates with compatible profiles being considered by the manager. Even though the selection process was smooth, I didn't receive a convincing feedback when I asked why my profile wasn't a good fit for the position.
- Could you tell me about yourself, your journey so far, and what you do in your free time?
- What has been the most memorable moment in your life?
- Can you share an experience where you encountered a problem and had to find a solution?
Commercial Management Trainee
Reckitt's hiring involves online assessments (aptitude, English, video) and panel interviews with HR, hiring managers, and sometimes VPs. They focus a lot on behavioral questions (teamwork, conflict handling) and situational questions, plus technical skills if it's for a specific role. People generally have positive experiences with supportive interviewers, but sometimes the process can take a while and communication can be a bit varied. It's a pretty structured process, though, and not too hard overall, but it can be a bit long sometimes.

Management Trainee
So I just finished the Reckitt Nigeria Management Trainee hiring process, and I wanted to share how it actually works. You start by sending in your CV and some basic info, which is pretty simple. If they like your application, you'll have to do some online tests: verbal, numerical, logical reasoning, and a situational judgment test. These are tough because so many people apply. Then comes the one-way video interview, which is meant to check how well you communicate and how confident you are. After that, they narrow down the list for the Assessment Centre, which is held at their office in Ikoyi. Out of more than 12,000 applicants, only 40 of us made it to this stage. The Assessment Centre is a full-day thing where they really look at how you think and solve problems. You'll work through several business cases, and for each one, you get 15 minutes to present after an hour of prep. They're evaluating your critical thinking, how structured your approach is, your communication skills, and your overall attitude. Finally, a smaller group gets invited for the executive interview, which is the last step before getting an offer. Just getting to the Assessment Centre means you're in the top 1% of applicants!
- How would you approach a case study spanning various business areas?
