Brand Manager
The interview process was very clearly laid out from the start. Any updates about my application were communicated via email or phone, and I received all the necessary information. The interviews themselves felt very relaxed, almost like a conversation, which made me feel comfortable. I gained a lot of insight into the company's culture, the day-to-day and longer-term responsibilities, operational processes, products, and the team dynamics. I wouldn't change anything about how they conducted the selection.
- How structured or organized do you think a company's workplace and processes should be, on a scale of 1 to 10?
- Have you encountered and completed similar tasks in the past?
- What were the results of those previous tasks?
Brand Manager
I applied on LinkedIn and got an email confirmation. Then there was a phone/Skype call with HR where we discussed my experience and some competency questions, and they told me about the role's scope. After that, I was invited for a face-to-face meeting with HR and the line manager. The line manager seemed completely disengaged from the start and passed the questions to the HR manager. They really emphasized their aggressive work culture and how direct they are about things working or not, and they were unapologetic about it. I don't think this is actually true, or that they live by it, since they didn't even tell me the outcome. Looking back, you know things aren't going well when they focus on all the negatives of their work environment. If you're thinking of applying here, be aware it's less about your skills and more about your attitude to survive in a 'cut-throat' environment. I suspect they might have done a background check.
- Can you tell me about the KPIs you typically use to measure success?
- What's your approach to dealing with difficult people?
Brand Manager
The hiring process had a delayed start and lacked a clear structure, but it moved faster than average. It felt like a normal setup initially, but there was overpromising. It was amateurish and conversational, friendly, and direct, though there were lies. It was in-office, 1-to-1, with 3 rounds. They had quick responses but also hidden facts and tough negotiations. Again, delayed start, no proper structure, faster than average, normal setup, overpromising, amateurish, conversational, transparent, friendly, direct with lies, in the office, 1 to 1, 3 rounds, quick response, hidden facts, tough negotiations.
- Can you introduce yourself?
