The interview started with a 15-minute phone call with the recruiter. After that, I was given a case study to work on, which I had to present in a 45-minute interview. It took 3 days to hear back from the recruiter about moving forward. The next step was presenting the case study and answering questions from the Director of CS. The recruiter was great to talk to throughout the process. For an entry-level job with low pay, asking a candidate to do so much for the case study, especially researching product info online, seemed like too much. I don't think it's fair to expect candidates to give more recommendations for the case study when they don't fully know the product to advise a mock client. Also, expecting in-depth answers for an entry-level role suggests the job might not be exactly as described and could require more than what the responsibilities list. This is something I've seen hinted at in other employee reviews.

It was a 5 stage interview process. First, I had an intro chat with a recruiter. Then came the technical questions. The third interview involved a fictional forecasting case. After that, I met with the manager for a deeper dive technical Q&A. The whole experience was pretty positive and everyone was friendly.

The interview process seemed pretty organized, with several rounds to check both technical skills and if I’d fit in. The people I talked to were professional and nice. But, after the interviews, it was radio silence. I went through two rounds, including coding, a technical live coding round, a behavioral one, and a techno-managerial interview, and then nothing for two weeks. It’s not cool to just ghost candidates like that, especially after they put in time and effort. The company needs to get better at communicating after the interviews so it’s not such a disappointing and weird experience.

Behavioral Technical Case

I went through four rounds of interviews: a pre-screen, then met with a team member, followed by a manager, and finally the director/VP. I was one of the last few people being considered. They asked me about my experience and presented hypothetical scenarios. The whole process spanned two weeks. The first three interviews were really good, with a nice back-and-forth. However, the last one wasn't great. The interviewer was quite confrontational and even said my answers were 'too good,' implying that being prepared was a bad thing. It also seemed like they had a poor management style, which, based on other employee reviews, might be common in the company. Honestly, I wouldn't want to work there.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Ok, this is the point where you’re going to need to give me specific names and titles of people who you have worked with on various projects.
  • I feel like you’re only telling me what I want to hear.
