I went through four rounds of interviews: a pre-screen, then met with a team member, followed by a manager, and finally the director/VP. I was one of the last few people being considered. They asked me about my experience and presented hypothetical scenarios. The whole process spanned two weeks. The first three interviews were really good, with a nice back-and-forth. However, the last one wasn't great. The interviewer was quite confrontational and even said my answers were 'too good,' implying that being prepared was a bad thing. It also seemed like they had a poor management style, which, based on other employee reviews, might be common in the company. Honestly, I wouldn't want to work there.
- Ok, this is the point where you’re going to need to give me specific names and titles of people who you have worked with on various projects.
- I feel like you’re only telling me what I want to hear.

So the interview process was pretty standard for most Healthcare tech companies. First, there was a 30-40 minute call with the recruiter to talk about the role and see if I might be a good fit. Then, I had a 45-minute case study. They sent me a PDF with instructions and the case study, and I had a PowerPoint template to use. I was given 3 days to prepare and had to submit my final presentation by 8am on the interview day. The last round, which lasted about 2.5 hours, involved 30 minutes to prep for another case study, a 30-minute product review, a 45-minute peer review, and then a 1-hour case study review with a director. It all felt pretty conversational but still professional. They really wanted to know about my background and if I'd looked into the company and their product. For being 3 rounds, it wasn't as bad as I expected. I ended up getting an offer at a higher level than I thought.

The company had a really complex hiring process. First, there was a phone screening with a manager who wasn't the hiring manager. Then, a case study about a work scenario. After that, 3-4 manager/director interviews, including another case study where I had to suggest product improvements. It felt overly complicated, almost like they weren't confident in evaluating candidates and just relied on subjective impressions from many people. Some interviewers were good, but others had a 'prove yourself' vibe. Red flags included 'toxic' mentions in reviews, and the process felt disjointed with 7 separate 30-min chats. The last case study wasn't interesting, which made me procrastinate. They encourage showing product passion, but I'd say listen to your gut if it feels like busy work. It wasn't a good fit for me, maybe not for independent thinkers either.
