First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Phillips 66.
Business Analyst
It was a pretty straightforward interview, they didn't really grill me. It was a panel interview where they mostly asked behavioral questions. They were trying to get to know me better and see if I'd be a good fit for the role, asking a bunch of follow-up questions to understand my personality.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to juggle several deadlines at once?
Software Engineer
So, there were like four rounds in total. The first two were tech interviews, like, they tested my coding and DSA skills. Then there was a manager round where they checked my soft skills, like how I communicate and work with others. The last one was with HR, checking if I'm a good fit for the company culture and talking about job stuff.
- There were two DSA questions.
Contracts Analyst
It was a placement year contract role. Two women interviewed me and asked me questions about my personality and behavior. They specifically asked me to use the STAR method, which was a bit unusual. Mostly they asked basic questions about my past experiences and my CV. The office didn't seem like a fun place to work, in my opinion.
- Can you share an instance where you collaborated with others to resolve an issue?
DevOps Engineer
It was medium. The first round was a behavioral round with video recorded questions. The second round was with the panel and the team members. They asked about my past experience and practical questions to determine my skill set. The questions were mostly about terraform, AWS, and Azure services.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Could you describe your experience with AWS services?
- Could you describe your experience with Azure services?
