Human Resources
Honestly I've never been treated worse by a company than NYP in 12+ years of my career. First, there were 2 interviews (not including the recruiter call). Then I was completely ghosted for 3 months, with no response to multiple emails. Then, out of the blue, they asked me to do a third interview, 3 months after the initial rounds, without any details about the process, timeline, or what was causing the delay. I followed up twice more after the third round and finally received a canned, generic rejection email after 3 rounds of interviews. I can't believe they treat people this way.

Registered Nurse
Applied and got an email for a phone interview with the recruiter, the interview was 30 minutes and she asked a lot of questions. After that, she scheduled me for an interview with the manager/PCD and herself again, this time via Zoom. The interview went well, the manager was very nice, they both asked questions. Two days later, I got a call from the recruiter asking additional questions then she told me she would schedule me for an in-person interview with the PCD again and a nurse from the unit. The day of the meeting, I went in-person, but the PCD called out. I had to interview with the charge nurse and another manager. I felt the interview went well, but at this point, I was being asked the same questions over again and felt a bit put off. There were 3 rounds of rigorous interviews. The charge nurse told me she would let the PCD and recruiter know how it went and I would be hearing back by the end of the week or the following week. After almost 2 weeks, nothing. Initially, the recruiter told me she would give my application to reference check, but I noticed it never changed from in-process. Then I saw the job listed back on the NYP website when it was taken down before. So today I sent a follow-up email and the recruiter called and told me unfortunately they have moved on to another applicant. Then 5 minutes later, she sent me an email basically saying the same thing. I checked my NYP account and she finally moved the application to no longer in consideration.

Physician Assistant
It started with HR, and then I met with the team. It was pretty straightforward. The team was nice, and the questions they asked were reasonable. The main goal of this interview is to get to know you better. They want to see not just what you know medically, but also how you approach problems, how you communicate, and how you collaborate with others. You can expect questions about your past experiences, how you've handled difficult situations, and your reasons for wanting this role. They're also looking at your personality, how you cope with stress, and how well you'd mesh with the existing team and the company culture.
