Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
Manager
The interview process was lengthy but necessary. It also gave me insight into the different aspects of the position and the people I could potentially be working with. The Behavioral Interview was something I implemented in my own hiring practices, throughout my career.
- Can you share an example of a challenging situation you faced and how you overcame it?
- What is your approach to management, and how would you define your management style?
- Tell me about some of your most significant achievements in your career.
Privacy Manager
The interview process was quite disorganized. The confirmed interview times kept changing, and the interviewers seemed unprepared, not having put much thought into their questions. It felt like their background in privacy was limited and not very impressive.
- Do you know what a waiver of authorization is?
Office Manager
Started with a phone call, then had a one on one zoom. They asked some basic questions about how to handle stress, being a team player, and how to deal with an irate patient. Also asked about thinking outside the box and handling things with urgency.
- What makes you the best candidate for this role?
