Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
Administrative
The interview process involved a phone screen followed by an in-person meeting where I met several team members. It felt really positive from the start. The final stage was a phone call with a VP. The onboarding process was quite thorough, which is typical for healthcare roles, and included things like a visit to employee health.
- Describe a situation where you experienced conflict within a team and explain how you resolved it.
Administrative
I had a phone interview with HR and then a full day of interviews in person. The in-person interviews were with panels of hiring managers.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
- Can you describe a significant accomplishment?
Executive Assistant
I spoke with HR briefly via phone. Then, same day, I interviewed with HR and also with an executive. The executive who interviewed me was rude, unprofessional, hadn't reviewed my resume, confused me with someone else, and thought she had other appointments scheduled at the same time.
- Can you tell me about your current role?
- What would you do about parking if you were hired?
