It kicked off with a quick chat with the technical recruiter, which was helpful for understanding things better. After that, I did a one-hour coding test on Codility, not a pair programming thing. Then, I had a 45-minute meeting with an Engineer manager. The last part was the panel interview, which was split over two days and included five separate interviews: one on reading and refactoring code (like a PR review), another on implementing code that had bugs or missing pieces (kind of like pair programming but with existing code), a 45-minute session on non-technical and cultural fit stuff, a one-hour session on API design and system decomposition, and finally, a one-hour technical design review where I had to look at a design doc and give feedback as if I were helping another engineer. Even though it felt like a lot and some parts were repetitive, the format did a good job of showing what the job would actually be like day-to-day. A few days later, less than a month from when I first connected, I got the rejection, just a standard 'we're moving forward with someone else' without any specific feedback. I put in about 7 hours total for the interviews and didn't get any details on how I did, even after asking via email.

I applied through LinkedIn. The hiring process had three interviews: one with the recruiter, one with the hiring manager, and a final one with the director. There was also a logic and personality test. The experience was great! They kept me informed, and everyone was super nice. I only have good things to say. The questions were really relevant to my experience, and the role was explained clearly. I got the offer the day after the director interview and accepted it. I highly recommend applying to Mindbody!

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

The interview process started with a recruiter phone screen that asked about my background and experiences. After that, I had a Cognitive Aptitude Test. Next, I had a 30-minute interview with the hiring manager. The first 20 minutes were about my experiences, skills, and attitude, and the last 10 minutes were for my questions. The hiring manager said I'd move to the final round. The final round was a 30-minute case study with the Director, which wasn't too hard if prepared. The whole process took two weeks, and I got the offer the day after the final round.

So, I reapplied for a similar role after a previous experience a few months back. This time, it was a bit of a rollercoaster. After weeks, I finally got a 15-20 minute screening call scheduled, which took a whole month to happen. The recruiter promised feedback the next week, but then they just vanished, and I never heard back even after following up. It felt really disorganized and like they lacked communication and professionalism, totally ghosting me. It's a shame because they keep reposting these jobs, and what they advertise seems the opposite of how they actually operate.
