I applied online and two days later got an email to schedule a phone interview for two weeks out. The next day, the recruiter wanted to reschedule for sooner, even though her calendar only had slots two weeks away. I scheduled it for within the week. I got an email confirmation, but it had the wrong date and time. I tried to confirm with the recruiter, but never heard back. She did call at the correct time, though, despite the bad confirmation. The recruiter talked a bit about MindBody, then asked interview questions that weren't too hard. She focused a lot on salary requirements, mentioning their low range, which I thought was odd for a first interview. I'd rather talk about my value. I said I was more interested in the company than the pay. Most of the questions seemed to be about culture fit. I was excited because I like MindBody's culture. After the usual questions, she asked if I had any questions. I did, as I'm really interested in the company. I asked about long-term goals, how the office felt with the IPO announcement, and what she liked best about MindBody. Her answers were pretty general, like 'I like the company culture,' 'We have fitness events,' and 'I'm not sure where we are heading but we are growing and the sky is the limit.' I was a bit disappointed by the lack of detail; it felt like she was reading from a script or just didn't know what she liked besides yoga. The interview was about 25 minutes. I asked about next steps, and she said the hiring manager was on vacation but back the next week and I'd hear back within two weeks as they're eager to fill the role. The next day, I emailed thanking her and saying I was still interested. It's been over 2 months since the interview, and I never heard back, not even a reply to my thank you or follow-up emails. The communication was surprisingly poor and impolite. My interest in MindBody has decreased. It seems they prioritize growth over everything, and culture fit isn't a real measure of success. My recruiter didn't embody MindBody's values or leadership principles. This lack of competence seems common there, a young company still figuring things out. MindBody needs better systems and management training to support growth with a strong workforce, which is crucial in today's market. It'll be interesting to see how MindBody's young workforce impacts their future as a public company.

Had a great experience. It was a good mix of phone screening with various key stakeholders, and a helpful recruiter who owned and facilitated the process. There was a paid trip to the HQ (from the other side of the US) for a very helpful in-person interview opportunity which really sold me on the role. And several hours of interviews across a set of friendly people who were obviously invested in getting a candidate who understood the challenges and who they felt they could work with.

I sent in my application online for the Project Manager role at mindbody. I got a reply from the hiring manager within 24 hours. We had a phone interview, which was basically a Q&A to see if I was interested. Then, I interviewed with the hiring manager's director. He asked me a bunch of situational questions about project management and then some questions about my resume. It was pretty straightforward, nothing too technical.
