First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mindbody.
Technical Support Specialist
MindBody reached out to me via email to discuss the role. I was able to set up a phone interview that worked for my schedule. It was mostly about my past experience. After that, my recruiter set me up for an on-site interview the very next day. The on-site was about 45 minutes with 2 managers from NY over video. They asked about my experience, tested my technical skills with a role play, explained the day-to-day, and asked more about me. I then met the team to see what they do. Finally, I had a final interview with the manager there. He dug into my work history and asked why I picked MindBody. The next day, the recruiter called to check in and let me know the team enjoyed meeting me and that they wanted to offer me the position, starting in a few weeks.
- Which core value resonates with you the most?
- How tech-savvy are you on a scale of 1 to 10?
- Describe the most recent software you taught yourself to use.
Technical Support Specialist
So I had three interviews. First was a phone call where they asked me about myself, my future goals, and why I wanted to work at Mindbody, as well as about core values. Then I had an interview with the supervisor, which was mostly behavioral and situational questions, and I did a shadow session. Lastly, I talked with the manager about my work history.
- Which core value do you identify with most strongly?
Technical Support Specialist
So, I applied and got an email saying that if I didn't hear back in a week, I probably wasn't selected. Then, like two months later, I got an invite for a phone interview! I was super excited since I thought I'd missed my shot. I scheduled it online and did some research on the company. It's really important to know exactly what they do, so I downloaded their app and messed around with it. Knowing their core values was helpful too. The phone interview was pretty basic, just asking why I wanted to work there, why this job, my schedule preference, and which core value resonated with me. I had some questions, but they were more for the next stage since this was with HR. The HR person said I'd move on to a second interview and would email me a time. They got back to me within 24 hours. The second interview was in person with two team leads, and the questions were a bit more technical, but still not super deep, more like checking my aptitude. They gave me some role-playing scenarios with common customer issues. Then I shadowed someone on a call, which was great to see the job in action. I stayed for the whole call to get a good feel for it. Within 24 hours, I got an email saying I was invited to a final interview. Scheduling that took a few days because the Technical Support Manager is really busy, which I totally get. I had the interview about a week after it was scheduled, with the Manager and another person. This interview was way more structured, going over my entire work history and responsibilities, and what a typical day looks like. Honestly, I thought this one went pretty badly and was kind of bummed. But surprisingly, the next day I got a job offer! I accepted and got more emails with forms, including one for a background check. They said they'd send my start date details once that's done.
