First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mindbody.
Sales Development Representative
They emailed me to set up a phone interview, which I think I totally crushed. They asked me what I knew about the company and for an example of when I handled an objection from a prospect and what happened afterwards. I guess I really impressed them because they then invited me for an in-person interview.
- If we hire you, what value would you add to our company?
- Can you share an instance where you successfully handled a prospect's objection over the phone, and what was the final result of that conversation?
- Could you tell me about some of the most helpful constructive feedback you've gotten from a former employer and how you're using it today?
Sales Development Representative
The interview process had 3 rounds. It included two phone interviews and a final in-person interview. The second phone interview was meant to be the cold call part, but the interviewer had to leave early. For the third interview, I spent time shadowing two sales reps for about 30 minutes each, and then I had to do a cold call with the hiring manager.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in a sales career?
- Which of MindBody's core values do you connect with the most?
- How would you approach a cold call?
Sales Development Representative
It's a three step process where you just have to present your personality as hungry and money motivated with an apt to consulting. It’s all about relationship building. Depending on your background, expect to explain why you are where you are, and that you are there to develop yourself. And of course, be interested in your personal wellness.
- Tell me about a situation where you had to lead a group that was experiencing conflict.
