Risk Solutions Intern
First, there's a behavioral screen with HR, asking stuff like overcoming challenges. Then, you meet with about 2 senior account leaders. They'll ask you questions to see if you can explain data, and they also want to know more about you personally. For me, they asked about my easiest college course.
- Tell me about a time you faced and overcame a significant challenge.
- Which course has been the easiest for you in college up to this point?
- What led you to pursue underwriting?
Customer Service Representative
The first interview was a phone call with a woman who seemed disengaged. It was hard to understand her questions, and I had to ask her to repeat herself several times. I answered what I thought she was asking, but it was a mess. I asked some pointed questions because I figured it was a heavily managed, typical call center job with high turnover, which she confirmed. This was a clear sign, so I won't be applying again.
- What lessons did you take away from previous employment experiences?
- Can you share what you've learned from your prior roles?
- Tell me about the key takeaways from your past jobs.
Principal Data Engineer
The interview process involved 5 rounds: a recruiter call, two rounds with the hiring manager, a technical round with engineers, a solution engineer round focusing on tech system design, and finally, a round with the engineering director. Overall, it was a great experience with a blend of technical and system design elements, requiring hands-on expertise.
- Can you discuss your experience with SQL?
- What is your understanding of data warehousing concepts?
- Tell me about your experience with AWS cloud services.
Intern
I put in my application online back in September. Someone from recruiting reached out in early to mid-October to set up a call. We chatted, and it was pretty standard behavioral stuff. About a week and a half after that, they said they wanted to move forward. Another recruiter got in touch to schedule a technical interview, which I had in late October. I heard back from the first recruiter less than two weeks later. The whole experience was really smooth. My recruiter was super responsive, and I always heard back within a week or two after each step. The interviewers, both for the behavioral and technical parts, were really nice and made things easy.
- Can you share an instance where you collaborated within a team?
- Could you describe a situation where you encountered a difficulty and how you sought assistance?
- Walk me through a project you were involved in, detailing your specific contributions and how you supported your team.
