Behavioral Technical

I put in my application online back in September. Someone from recruiting reached out in early to mid-October to set up a call. We chatted, and it was pretty standard behavioral stuff. About a week and a half after that, they said they wanted to move forward. Another recruiter got in touch to schedule a technical interview, which I had in late October. I heard back from the first recruiter less than two weeks later. The whole experience was really smooth. My recruiter was super responsive, and I always heard back within a week or two after each step. The interviewers, both for the behavioral and technical parts, were really nice and made things easy.

Behavioral Technical Coding

I had a phone call for a behavioral and screening interview. They asked some questions like why I wanted to join Liberty Mutual and some scenario-based questions on how I handled certain past situations. After about a week or two, I had a technical interview with two software engineers, and I was given a debugging question and an easy HashMap question. Everyone was really friendly, and I heard back within about 1-2 weeks.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process was pretty straight forward. There was a 30 min phone interview and then an hour long interview in the office. The recruiter on the phone was very welcoming and informative. The interview in the office with the manager seemed to go well, and the manager said he “would personally call me with a decision in a few days, because he loved to discuss with candidates why they did or did not get the job.” It turns out that wasn’t the case, as he never got back to me. I even reached out to him and left a voicemail he never returned. I thought this was very insincere and unprofessional.
