I had a 30-minute introductory call with a recruiter. I was really excited because I'm trying to switch careers, and I got referred by someone who works here and loves it. It seemed like a perfect match. The call was on Teams and I felt like the interviewer wasn't really engaged with me. I thought my answers to the standard STAR questions were good, but she interrupted me a few times. I was told I'd hear back in 3-5 business days about the next steps. Three days later, I found out I didn't get selected to move forward. It was quite disappointing.

First, there was an initial screening, then two more rounds of interviews. It's the usual interview with STAR questions - make sure to answer using 'I'. Focus on the situation/task, action taken, and the result.

First, there was a phone screening with a recruiter. After that, I had a 2-person remote Zoom interview, which was a panel format. The panel consisted of two middle-aged Caucasian women. They didn't seem to be open to diversity, as they weren't engaged from the start. It felt unwelcoming and not relaxed at all. Their approach, comments, and questions were very formal. I felt dismissed right away, like they were just wasting my time and theirs for 30 minutes. This gave me a bad impression of the company, and I don't think I'll apply again because I'm worried they represent the company culture negatively and might be the same panel for any future opportunities nationwide. I fear they reflect poorly on the company culture. So, I will definitely not apply to Liberty Mutual again. I can't say anything good about the experience. I'd advise my friends, regardless of race or culture, not to apply to Liberty Mutual based on this interview with these two overly biased women.
